Kent Armstrong Icon 54 Strat Pickup (Alnico 3)

A faithful recreation of a typical mid-fifties Strat single coil pickup, the Icon 54's provide sweet-sounding top end with chimey tones. Inbetween combinations (switch positions 2 and 4) create the coveted vintage bell-like chime whilst the alnico III magnets help produce a full and clear bass response. These pickups excel through a valve amp - either with a pure clean or cranked distorted setting. Even with heavier overdrive tones, the glassy highs will retain clarity to prevent the overall sound from becoming mushy. A middle position reverse wound/reverse polarity version is available to achieve noise cancellation when utilizing a 5 way switch. 42 gauge Formvar wire and Alnico III magnets. Wax-potted and ships complete with height screws, rubber tube mounting, cloth-covered wire and a fitted antique white cover.
